Summary

The story is set in a small village of Rajasthan, a blind girl called Durga lives with her mother. Durga meets the handsome Rohit, who works for a chemical company, impressed by Durga's beauty, they both fall in love with each other. One day, an unscrupulous villager named Rana takes advantage of Durga's disability and attempts to rape her. When Rohit comes to her rescue, a furious Rana makes murderous threats against Rohit. Rohit gets Durga to visit eye specialist Dr. R.K. Prasad who performs successful surgery on her eyes, but before the bandages are removed, Rohit goes to arrange for their wedding. Ambushed on his journey by, Rana and his friends they try to kill Rohit, with tragic consequences as both Rana and Rohit are killed. The devestated Durga on discovering her lovers death attempts suicide, but is saved by Dr. Prasad. In an attempt to help her the Doctor takes her to Switzerland, where she meets Raj, the captivated Raj falls in love with Durga. Raj tries to get close to Durga but Durga but still grieving from her loss she rejects his advances, that is until, Raj shows her photos of her close friend, Rohit and she discovers he is suffering the loss of his close friend. Encouraged by Dr. Prasad Durga agrees to married to Raj, but in a twist of fate as the family prepares for the wedding, Raj now comes to know that his childhood friend, Rohit is still alive.
