 The film centers on the budding romance between Jai and Shalini - both married to different people. Settled into a life of domestic ritual, and convinced that they are happy in their respective relationships; Jai and Shalini still yearn for something deeper and more meaningful, which is precisely what they find in each other. From a relationship starting off in pleasant barbs the two begin to develop and acknowledge the feelings they have beneath the surface. When their feelings come to the fore, what results is a collision of lives and emotions, affecting everyone involved and changing them forever.

Summary
Dev Saran is a professional football player whose promising career is nipped in the bud after an accident, which leaves him with a limp.
He is married to Rhea, whose career as a fashion designer is on an upswing, and they have a six-year-old son Arjun. Then there is Samarjit Singh alias Sam, a flamboyant, fun-loving man, whose only son Rishi Talwar, a PR consultant with a gift of the gab, is married to his childhood friend, the quiet Maya, teacher in a nursery school.
The two couples seem content but things start to change when a chance encounter between Dev and Maya causes them to look into their marriages with a new perspective. It is a bold film by Bollywood standards as it attempts to delve into the grey area surrounding human relationships that have not been tried out so far in commercial Hindi films.
