Kambakkht Ishq: Falls short of expectations

Kambakkht IshqViraj (Akshay) is a Hollywood stunt man who doesn’t believe in marriage and lives by the belief that women are good for only two things. When he comes to know that his younger brother Lucky (Aftab) is getting married, he rushes to break it off. At the same time the bride, Kamini’s (Amrita) best friend Simrita (Kareena) too rushes in dissuading her from getting married to a ‘second hand’ person aka a stuntman. But it is too late as the couple has already made up their mind.

In her mission to unearth the big mystery she is aided by her aspiring detective grandson (Zain Khan) as also from some unexpected quarters. How her mission ends in a success and what positive changes this journey brings in the lives of Naani and those around her form the rest of the plot.

Now as grown ups, Nandu becomes the most dreaded assassin in town and Shekhar his accomplice who always helps him in getting away from the scene of crime within minutes. Opposition leader Anna Mhatre (Sachin Khedekar) to create a sympathy wave for himself in the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections hires Nandu to make a false attack on him. According to the plan, Nandu aims a shot on Anna’s arms who is addressing a huge political rally but before he shoots, a bullets zips through Anna’s forehead killing him instantly.

Jai VeeruVeeru (Kunal) meets Jai (Fardeen) in a pub when the latter saves him from getting beaten up by goons. Veeru is a small time crook who masters in stealing cars. He convinces Jai, a motor mechanic to join him and Jai does. But little does Veeru know that Jai is basically on an undercover mission to nab underworld don Tejpal (Arbaaz) for whom Veeru works for. When Veeru comes to know about Jai’s reality a scuffle follows. During this, Jai accidentally gets shot by Veeru who manages to escape the country.
